Afro Ball was created to serve as a unifying platform for Africans in the diaspora, Black Americans, and allies, highlighting the richness and beauty of African arts, culture, fashion, and cuisine, while providing opportunities for networking, learning, and engagement.

The vision of the AfroBall Indy brand is to become the leading platform for celebrating, promoting, and preserving African culture, heritage, and creativity within the community. We aim to create a vibrant and inclusive environment where people from diverse backgrounds can come together to experience and appreciate the richness of African traditions through music, dance, fashion, food, and networking events.

AfroBall Indy aspires to be a catalyst for increased cultural understanding and appreciation, fostering unity and empowering local artists, businesses, and communities. Our ultimate goal is to establish AfroBall Indy as an eagerly anticipated annual event that serves as a dynamic hub for cultural exchange, education, and entertainment, making a lasting impact on our community and beyond.

AfroBall Indy comprises five main events:

  • AfroFest: A vibrant celebration of African culture, filled with music, dance, food, games, and local vendors showcasing their products.
  •  AfroStylez: A spectacular fashion show highlighting both traditional and contemporary African fashion, as well as influencing African American styles.
  • AfroConnect: A networking and panel discussion event that offers professionals and entrepreneurs a platform to connect, learn, and collaborate. It’s also an opportunity for companies to pitch to and recruit diverse talents.
  • AfroVoyage: An annual excursion to different African countries, aiming to provide a unique and authentic cultural experience while fostering a deeper connection with the continent’s diverse cultures and histories.
  • AfroBall: The capstone event – a glamorous evening of entertainment, celebration, and community-building.

These events provide platforms for networking, learning, engagement, and, most importantly, a celebration of our vibrant community and the incredible contributions of African culture and heritage to our society.
